| So what is the 428 project? |
|
April 28th has been dedicated to commemorating the lives and memories of workers who have died as a result of workplace accidents or illness and diseases contracted through work activities. A long time developer of innovative prevention practices the principles in Expert Ease International's decided that the next big innovation should be the release of all of our safety management material for universal use.
In Expert Ease International believe that industry has the technological and intellectual capacity to achieve and maintain zero fatalities in all working environments. Accordingly the necessary information should be freely available to all, so that companies can get on and safely and healthfully manage their core business. Lack of information should not be a barrier and that is at the heart of the development of this website.
The material on the Open Access part of this site is extensive and continually growing. Our work is published here on the Copyleft principle, that is that it is freely available for use by anyone for the purpose of developing their own ethical work practices. The stipulation is that you must abide by the precise terms of the licence, detailed in the Copyleft section (see button at bottom of your screen).
What we ask is that users continue the distribution of anything that they use outside of their companies making it available, free of charge to anyone else who wishes to use it. As well as advising users to modify the materials to meet the specific requirements of the law in their jurisdiction, we also encourage them to improve upon the materials, recognising that there is no definitive final product that will meet all safety considerations in perpetuity.
Again, once done we ask that the "new and improved" material is freely available to everyone else.
Open Access contains a full Health and Safety manual, containing Policy Statement, responsibilities, KPIs, Safety Management Procedures, Safe Working Procedures (each with its own PowerPoint), a range of supporting checklists and audit forms. There are also over 500 hyperlinks to relevant sites, listed by category.
Our Hazards website provides additional information on 40 of the major hazards associated with most work activities, across all industries. This is linked from our award winning Operation Analysis and Control database.
Safety Exchange has been revamped and still remains a successful information sharing resource. Feel free to add material to it.
