Weather

Consider all weather conditions including excessive heat or cold, wet and snow conditions, wind, frost etc.

External work at heights or near edges during high winds, or when ladders etc. are slippery may be inadvisable.

After bad weather, there may be poor soil conditions that will effect excavations and scaffolding.  Carry our inspections and implement additional control measures before resuming work.

Provide drivers with protection from bad weather conditions or against other environment hazards, e.g. cold, dust, fume, excessive noise and vibration.

Appropriate clothing to be provided for the relevant weather conditions.

In hot weather conditions, light clothing that covers arms and legs etc. are to be considered, as well as appropriate sun-protection creams.  Ensure that workers have access to a ready supply of drinking water and shade.
